Innovator of the Cal-Indian culinary genre and the most decorated Indian chef cooking in the United States today, Chef Sri has helmed the kitchen at Taj Campton Place in San Francisco since 2008 where he earned two Michelin stars and 3.5 stars from the San Francisco Chronicle. A native of Kerala, India (where he learned to cook in his grandmother's kitchen), later attending the Culinary Institude of America in Hyde Park, New York and "staging" at the Michelin two-star Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in England,where he honed his repertoire in classical European techniques. A culinary master possessing a perfect blend of East and West sensibilities, allowing him to combine the flavors of the east with a western flair that is unique yet authentic to his roots.
